PK takes a fantastic opening..

The most anticipated movie of 2014, PK finally hit the theaters today with a massive screen count of 5200 in the domestic domain and around 600 worldwide.

The film managed to create a substantial buzz ever since its announcement and the first poster had taken the audiences’ expectations to a totally different level. And despite not being promoted on a high scale, the film has managed to create an uproar at the ticket window.

The reviews have been good so far, some also claiming it to be Aamir Khan’s best performance till date. And as far as the box office is concerned, the advance booking had shown a great response especially in the multiplex circuits in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and so on. A collection of around Rs. 30 to 35 crore looks realistic and anything below that would be disappointing.

From the looks of the first day trend reports, PK is all set to mint money over the weekend as the curiosity factor surrounding it is way too high.
